Core Network Engineer

What will you do?

The Yielder Tech Solutions Center develops, delivers and manages our internally developed platform for voice, connectivity and security services. Because we are growing, we are looking for Core Network Engineers. This dedicated team of engineers is responsible for building and managing a reliable and scalable network infrastructure for our ISP network.

In addition to responsibility for our ISP network, the network team also provides network and security services to our customers. As part of the network team, you will work with various telecom, network and security technologies. Designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting customer network solutions are core responsibilities.

Yielder Group is the leading independent telecom and IT service provider in the Netherlands. We operate in both consumer and business markets. We serve these markets through various sales channels: retail, online, indirect and direct sales. Our service offerings include services provided by major Dutch operators as well as our own services that we develop, manage and maintain.

Your duties will include:

• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of network infrastructure changes;
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS);
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability;
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches and security configurations;

What do you bring:

• You have experience installing and configuring network technology from multiple vendors including Cisco, (IOS, NX-OS, XR), Juniper and Huawei;
• You have hands-on experience implementing firewall policies on Fortinet firewalls and Watchguard via CLI and GUI;
• CCNA/CCNP/CCDA skill level;
• You have experience implementing and supporting hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure) with an emphasis on network interconnection and security;
• You have the ability to design new CPE templates and best practices and improve existing ones.
