The Network Engineering team supports the infrastructure for several Yielder Group subsidiaries. This includes working with business units, multiple disciplines within the Yielder Group, as well as external vendors to resolve issues and develop technology solutions for the Firm. The Engineering team will be expected to define network infrastructure requirements, engineer high availability solutions as well as participate in new product selection and certification. The team actively participates in business driven projects, provides consulting services for various project teams, including all disciplines of network engineering.

You will participate in the design, build, deployment and operation of security-focused infrastructure and provide consultation, architectural review and networks that support our fulfilment network. In this role you will also provide guidance- and mentoring to network support collegues to develop their skills and reinforce security best practices. Network reliability and security are critical to the Yielder Group operations, and your responsibilities will include driving root cause resolution of network- and security related events, which might adversely affect business operations.

Jouw werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit:

Collaborate in a cross functional team environment to assess near and long-term network capacity- and functional requirements;

Partner with a cross functional team environment to assess security systems including but not limited to firewalls, network switches, core routers, etc.;

Configure core networks to ensure their secure and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes;

Monitor and tune network security systems to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting in order to maintain data integrity, confidentiality and availability;

Make recommendations to improve effectiveness and reporting of security systems;

Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network- and security system administration, usage, and disaster recovery;

Conduct research on network and security products, services, protocols, and standards to assist in compliance regulations;

Maintain network security devices to enable pro-active defense of networks within a managed services environment, providing protective monitoring to multiple commercial customers;

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

Wat breng jij mee:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information systems or Computer engineering/science;

5+ years’ experience in designing and operating large-scale, network security infrastructure;

5+ years of experience with foundational networking technologies (e.g. switching, routing, etc.);

Experience with network security hardware from major vendors including Cisco, Huawei and Watchguard;

Experience in automation/scripting and/or coding skills in multiple common languages (e.g. Perl, Python, PowerShell, Ansible);

Experience with designing solutions in Azure and/or AWS;

Experience and detailed technical knowledge of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security;

Strong customer service orientation. Ability to verbally communicate complex concepts and address sensitive situations, resolve conflicts, negotiate, motivate, and persuade others;

Attention to details and good problem-solving skills;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
